I am only at the very beginning of my journey with TWC, but wow, what a journey it has been! This is my first in house role and I love every second. I am learning so much and gaining new skills on a daily basis.

The people are what makes this place, I felt part of the team from the minute I joined.

What is your favourite product and why?

So difficult to choose! But there is something so luxurious about going to sleep every night in White Company Egyptian Cotton sheets...

I left my previous job in September 2009, planning to take a few months off. I went to Bath with my mum for a few days – and we stumbled on The White Company store. I remember talking to the Store Manager, Mandy, and her passion for the brand was infectious (it still is!). When I returned to London, I had a call about an HR role with TWC....and i couldn’t say no! I expected to stay for 6 months but The White Company got under my skin... 5 years later, I was promoted to Head of department, and 4 years after that, I was promoted to Director of People. During this time, we have quadrupled the store estate, more than doubled the turnover and our employee numbers have gone from 400 to nearly 2000. I have also met some amazing people who have gone on to be some of my very best friends!

The variety – every day is different, and whatever you are doing, you’re surrounded by people who are so passionate about the brand, our beautiful products and our teams. My own team is full of the most passionate and resourceful people in retail – all dedicated to making The White Company an inspiring place to work. I also love working for Chrissie, she is an inspirational woman and leader, and I am immensely proud to be the first Director of People in her business! Finally, after ten years, I am still as excited about our product as I was when I started – when I come into work and see the beautiful new season brochure on my desk, I can’t wait to go shopping!

What is your favourite product and why?

Cassis signature candle – my favourite fragrance. We stopped doing Cassis a few years ago (it was just for Christmas), a very traumatic time! I now always have at least two in the cupboard, just in case! Wild Mint – we had this in the bathrooms at our wedding, and it brings back happy memories! Santorini bed linen – the first TWC bedding I ever bought, and my favourite!

I started here to recruit for the Contact Centre and Distribution Centre, however I have now taken on the recruitment for our retail sites, it’s a very busy but varied role and I love meeting new people to join our White Company family. I’m also really lucky to have been involved in the recruitment for our new venture in New York which has been so much fun!

I love that we are one big team, everyone is willing to help and it feels like a big family! Everyone is so proud to work here and that really shows in the passion that goes into everything we do.

What is your favourite product and why?

Can I pick two? The best feeling is getting into a freshly made bed of Santorini linen after using the skin care range – it’s like a spa hotel at home! Pure luxury!

Following retail Learning and Development career in two of London’s well-known department stores; I decided to focus my attention on broadening my Head Office L&D skills. The White Company was a business I was already accustomed to from being a customer, and having a close friend who had worked her way up into an Assistant Store Manager for the business after starting as a Sales Assistant while we were at University. I started in 2015 just before Christmas – our most exciting time and got stuck in with implementing a new induction programme for our London Head Office. Since joining I have been a part of numerous projects which focus on developing our people and looking into new and exciting ways to bring L&D at The White Company to life!

Our passion and drive is second to none! To be able to say I work with people that inspire and motivate me every day is something very special to me and I am truly thankful.

What is your favourite product and why?

Our Twenty-One fragrance holds a special place in my heart, I joined the business when we were turning 21, and it was the first candle I bought as an employee, the smell reminds me of the excitement of my first few months with the business! It also worked as a great gift at the time, as 1994 was the year my sister was born so it was the perfect 21st Birthday present for her!

My first 3 months has absolutely flown by due to the fast pace and genuine enjoyment of coming into work. It has been a real treat to be welcomed so warmly by both the ‘People Team’ and my wider stakeholder network that all share a genuine love for the business, its people and product.

The best thing about working here is the Buzz. There is always something exciting happening, whether it’s the opening of a new store (NYC in my first week), hosting supplier days or watching the creative team design a shop installation!

What is your favourite product and why?

Rhubarb 3 wick candle

I started work for TWC on a fixed term contract for 12 weeks to help in the warehouse over peak, looking after the IT equipment. A position in the HR Team became available as a HR Coordinator, which I applied for. I did this role from April 2011 until Oct 2015, in this role I helped the HR Manager move Northampton DC from Brackmills to Swan Valley in August 2014, also while we were planning the move; I was collating Northampton’s DC People date that was needed for the implementation of our new People Management System- People Hub. In October 2015 I became the Pay, Reward & People Systems Advisor.

There are so many things that I love about working for TWC, I absolutely love the products, but for me I feel the best bit is the people, they always have a smile for me.

What is your favourite product and why?

I have many products that I love, Winter, Seychelles candles but at the moment I am loving all The Little White Company, because I have grandchildren and can always find something to get them.

Jeannie Eden

Company Communication & Engagement Manager, People Team

My journey at The White Company began back in 2010, when I moved to London from the US. Having a background in design and working for years in retail my mother-in-law suggested I go into The White Company because she said I’d love it…she was right! Within five minutes of being in the store I knew I had to work there. A few months later I was offered the Store Manager role at our original Canary Wharf store. After spending a year working at Canary Wharf I had the exciting opportunity to move to our new larger store at Stratford City. There I was able to witness all the fun and excitement of the London 2012 Olympics.

That autumn a role came up in the Retail Operations department for a Retail Communication Manager - which I applied for and got the job! In October 2012 I moved from Store into Head Office, where over the next couple of years I worked within the Retail Ops team on communication and engagement.

Then in early 2016 my role changed and expanded into what it is today, with myself and my team looking after communication and engagement across the entire business.

What I like best about working here are the people and the product! I have had the absolute pleasure of working with, and alongside some really amazing people. And what can I say about the product…it’s all fantastic!

What is your favourite product and why?

How could I choose?! I love everything!! From the Artisan Dinnerware to the Hydro Cotton towels, the Super Balm to my most beloved cashmere robe, I don’t think there is an hour that passes in my day that I’m not using or wearing a White Company product.
